MK says natural resources belong to citizens, not investors

"When talking about natural resources that belong to all of us, there is no room for the entrepreneurs' argument that the state is nationalizing part of their property," MK Shai Hermesh (Kadima), head of the Knesset Finances Committee said following the Sheshinki meeting for natural gas Tuesday, Israel Radio reported.

He added: "There is presently an emergency situation confronting the world energy markets, and it is necessary to complete the legislation in a short time-frame in order to reduce uncertainty."
