Mob kingpin signs plea bargain; 37 charges reduced to only two

Nahariya mob kingpin Michael Mor, who was charged with no less than 37 offenses, reached on Monday a plea bargain according to which he will be accused of only two. Mor, who had been indicted in the Nazareth Magistrate Court for allegedly threatening police officers through proxies while serving time in jail, will be charged with blackmail and issuing threats. Charges of contempt of court, preventing a police officer from carrying his duties and obstruction of investigation procedures were all removed from his file. The original indictment carried some 100 pages; the revised one is eight pages long. Mor's case came to be known as the 'Gangsters in Uniform' scandal, after his actions against police officers prompted five policemen to try to blow up his and his nephew's cars.
