Mofaz, Yacimovich reiterate support for Gaza operation

Opposition leader Shaul Mofaz reiterated his support for Operation Pillar of Defense Thursday morning, according to Israel Radio, as Israel must pursue terrorists in Gaza in order to make them feel persecuted.He recommended against the government launching a ground operation, however, saying it would be possible to reestablish the IDF's deterrence without one.Mofaz warned that "it is always known how a ground operation starts, but not always how it ends."Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich also weighed in, reportedly saying that after the Gaza operation is completed, Israel will have to work with the international community, particularly the United States, in order to reach an understanding that will allow residents of the South to live in security.She also said that all measures should be taken to maintain relations with Egypt.
