New district attorney elected for Tel Aviv

The Civil Service Commission's Tender Committee announced Sunday that it has elected attorney Liat Ben Ari Sheweky as Tel Aviv District Attorney for Economic and Taxation.
Sheweky will replace the current district attorney, Alla Rodnik, who has held the position for more than a decade.
Sheweky, aged 46 and a graduate of Tel Aviv University's law faculty, has worked in the district attorney's office since 1998 and has conducted a number of high-profile cases including the David Appel bribery case and the Oded Gold fraud case. She currently heads the team prosecuting the Holyland Affair case.
