Nof Ayalon yeshiva student wins international Tanach quiz

Sixteen-year-old Shlomi Aldman, a student at the Sha'alvim yeshiva high school in the communal village Nof Ayalon rode past opponents on Tuesday to take top-prize at the International Youth Tanach Contest set in Jerusalem. Shlomi was followed closely by Bnei Akiva Yeshiva contestant Noam Hadad from Hadera.
Shlomi's triumph will award him a full scholarship to Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
The winning student told Israeli media that he wanted to give a special thanks to the two who helped him best prepare for the contest: his mother and God:
Shlomi's father Yehuda Aldman attributed his son's success to his natural capability to absorb a wealth of in-depth material.
