Obama says Iran nuclear deal 'cuts off all pathways to atomic bomb'

US President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that the agreement with Iran “cuts off all pathways to nuclear weapons.”
Speaking at the White House, the president hailed the deal as an example of “US leadership.”
“Because we negotiated from a position of strength and principal, we have stopped the spread of nuclear weapons” in the Middle East, the president said.
“The international community will be able to verify Iran will not be able to develop nuclear weapons,” Obama said.
The president said the deal is effective since it requires Iran to take steps to curb its nuclear program before economic sanctions are lifted.
