PM set to to meet with Treasury about defense budget

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was set to meet Thursday with senior officials from the Finance Ministry regarding the anticipated reduction of the Defense Ministry's budget, Israel Radio reported.
The Prime Minister's Office said that a decision would not be made in the coming days, according to the report.
Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz reportedly said that this would be a real cut - up to one and a half billion shekels worth of security budget supplements.
The finance committee were scheduled to convene Thursday in a closed meeting to discuss the defense budget with Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
