Police who arrived Monday at Yafia near Nazareth to arrest a suspect from the village were allegedly attacked by several people and beaten with fists; one officer was bitten.
Three residents, aged 20 to 40, were arrested and brought to Nazareth's Magistrate Court on Tuesday for an extension of their detention.
