Police considering closing Golan Druse villages to tourists

Police are examining the possibility of forbidding tourists entry to Druse villages in the Golan Heights over Shavuot due to Sunday's events at the Syria-Israel border, Israel Radio reported.
Several dozen protesters had gathered in Majdal Shams Sunday in solidarity with the Palestinians and Syrian protesters. Calm had returned, however, to Majdal Shams on Monday, and Israel Radio said the Druse frontier town was quiet.
