Report: Syrian forces kill 8 protesters across country

BEIRUT - Syrian security forces shot dead at least eight people on Thursday when they fired at anti-government protests in towns across the country, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
Arab monitors are visiting Syria to check whether Damascus is implementing a peace deal to end a violent nine-month crackdown on protests against Syrian President Bashar Assad.
