Russia freezes Iran arms deal due to sanctions

Russia will put  an arms deal it had been working on with Iran on hold in response to the new round of UN sanctions that were placed on Iran Wednesday, reported Russian news agency Interfax.
The deal, which had the Russians selling Iran the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, was put on hold despite the fact that Russian officials previously said that sanctions would not prevent them from completing the deal.
The sanctions against Iran for enriching uranium were passed Wednesday by the UN Security Council.
