Russia to return Israel IDF tank captured by Syria in First Lebanon War

Russia will return to Israel an IDF tank used during the famous Sultan Yacoub battle in the First Lebanon War in 1982, the Prime Minister's Office announced on Sunday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an executive order to repatriate the tank to Israel in response to a request by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The tank was captured by the Syrian army during the war and was later sent to Moscow where it has been on exhibit in the Museum of Armored Vehicles.
Netanyahu told Putin that the tank is a testament to the memory of its crew - IDF soldiers Zvi Feldman, Yehuda Katz and Zachary Baumel - who went missing during the war. Their fate and whereabouts remain a mystery.
