Schalit's sister to be drafted today despite failure to secure his release

Hadas Schalit, captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit's younger sister, will be inducted into the army on Wednesday morning, little over three years after her brother's kidnapping. Schalit's cousin, Eyal Eraz, told Army Radio that while both the government and the army had failed to bring Gilad home, the family would stay true to their values, and for this reason, 18-year-old Hadas would be drafted into the army despite the circumstances. Schalit will celebrate his 23rd birthday in captivity on Friday.
