Beit Aryeh security officer Bnaya Sharavi, who attempted to thwart civil administration inspectors from entering his community on December 2, will be relieved of his duties, the IDF spokesperson announced in a statement Tuesday. Sharavi used his jeep to block the inspectors who came to the settlement to issue an order forbidding new construction. Binyamin Regional Brigade commander Col. Aviv Reshef decided to oust the officer and, in a briefing Monday, expressed the severity of the incident to him. The vehicle used in the incident was supplied by the defense establishment. The dismissal will take effect in January, 2010.
