Sex offender released to house arrest due to lawyer strike

Oren Corrido, who was arrested two weeks ago on suspicion of trying to seduce a television reporter who posed as a young man, was released Friday to 35 days in house arrest after an appeal board prevented the Haifa District Attorney from signing an affidavit in his case due to the ongoing lawyers' strike.
Police say Corrido was charged with possession of pedophilic material, and his exchange with a reporter from Channel 1 News who posed as a 15-year-old boy revealed the 31-year-old man who was previously charged with child molestation, tried to get away with the offense again.
