Shas MK: I'll go to terror victims' funerals when ministers can't

MKs should be asked to go to funerals of victims of terror if no ministers can go, MK Yaakov Margi (Shas) wrote in a letter to Cabinet Secretary Avichai Mandelblit Wednesday.
The letter came after hundreds of Israelis bid attended the funeral of Karen Yemima Mosquera, an Ecuadorian native who came to Israel to complete her conversion to Judaism.
Mosquera died from her wounds five days after an Arab from east Jerusalem drove into her at a Jerusalem light rail station. He also killed an infant girl.
Mandelblit asked all of the ministers to go to the funeral on the Mount of Olives, but none were able to.
"A public representative should take part in the family's bereavement in tough times and go to the funeral," Margi wrote. "If there is no minister available, it would be appropriate for an MK to take his place."
