Soldier lightly injured when hit by heavy pergola

A soldier in the Intelligence Corps was lightly wounded Wednesday afternoon when he was hit in the back by a pergola that he and another soldier were carrying, Israel Radio reported. The two soldiers were ordered to pick up and move the pergola despite its heavy weight, and one of the soldiers dropped the object. After they failed and the soldier was hurt, his commander ordered the other soldier in his platoon to do push-ups in the blazing sun. The commander reportedly told his platoon that they needed "to get stronger," Israel Radio reported. The IDF spokesperson said the incident was being looked into.
