State indicts first alleged pedophile after police sting

The Central District Attorney filed an indictment on Thursday charging a 57-year-old Jerusalem man with sexual offenses against children.
The indictment is the first to be filed after police arrested 30 suspected pedophiles in the largest operation against sex offenders to date.
At this time, a gag order prevents publication of the defendant's name, who is referred to on the indictment only as G. However, the district attorney has asked the court to remove the gag order.
The charges against G. include counts of attempted sexual harassment against an underage boy, and attempted sodomy under the circumstances of rape.
