Steinitz: World understands we must react to UN bid

The international community understands that Israel must react to unilateral Palestinian actions in the United Nations, Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said in an interview with Army Radio on Monday.

"I'm convinced that everyone in Europe and the United States understands that we will react," he said.

"How can the Palestinians forego the peace process?" he asked, characterizing their decision to seek upgraded status at the UN as an attack on Israel. "We're being attacked on two fronts," he said, with missiles from Gaza and delegitimization from Ramallah.
