Supreme Court rejects Matza's sentencing appeal

The Supreme Court rejected on Monday an appeal by former Tax Authority director Jackie Matza over the length of his prison sentence.
Matza was convicted and sentenced to a year in prison for fraud, breach of trust and aiding to distribute bribes.
Justice Edmond Levi wrote in his ruling that if anything Matza’s punishment was too lenient and that there were no valid reasons to shorten it further.
