Syrian FM says ready to resume peace talks with Israel

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem said Tuesday that his government is ready to resume peace talks with Israel.
Al-Moualem said in an address to the UN General Assembly that the talks would only resume if Syria can find "in Israel a partner committed to the terms of reference of peace making, and if that partner has the political will to achieve peace."
The Syrian foreign minister said the talks would take off from the point where they were halted after the IDF Gaza flotilla raid. Al-Moualem said the talks would be mediated by Turkey.
