The area near the Gaza security fence was blocked by IDF forces on Friday due to concerns about the ongoing Palestinian protests titled 'March of Return.'

In a phone interview with the Jerusalem Post IDF spoksperson claimed these actions are standard and have been in practice for several weeks.

Palestinian media reports one teenager had been wounded north of the Gaza strip by IDF soldiers on Friday.

Maariv reports that around 2,000 Palestinian protesters are now present near the security fence between the Gaza strip and Israel and that explosives were thrown at IDF soldiers, no injuries were reported.
