Turks protest Israeli volleyball team in Ankara

ANKARA, Turkey  — Dozens of protesters scuffled with police near the venue where Israel was playing Serbia in a volleyball tournament in Turkey on Saturday.
The protesters carried posters of Furkan Dogan, the youngest of nine pro-Palestinian activists killed in Israel's May 31 raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla.
Some protesters pounded police shields with Palestinian flags before the game Saturday.
Turkey has increased security for the Israeli team which is in Ankara for a women's European Volleyball League tournament. The game has been closed to spectators.
