UK: opposition to Syria UN resolution may soften

LONDON - Obtaining a United Nations resolution condemning Syria's crackdown on protests is difficult for now, but that may change if the repression continues, Britain said on Tuesday.
UN Security Council members including Russia and China are uneasy about fresh resolutions on Middle East leaders facing protests against their rule.
"If they (Syria) continue to go down the route of ever more violent repression, well then of course, our concerns may be shared more widely at UN Security Council and the situation there may change," Hague told parliament.
