'US asked European states not to promote peace initiative'

Former justice minister Yossi Beilin said on Tuesday that US Secretary of State John Kerry asked the UK, Germany and France not to introduce a new European peace initiative for the Israel-Palestinian conflict, because the US intends to lead the peace process itself.
Beilin was speaking at convention the Geneva Accord held ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit to Israel.
