US Congresswoman Giffords to go home from hospital

US Congresswoman Gabrielle GIffords was expected to be released from TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Center in Houston at the end of June or beginning of July, one of her aides announced Sunday.
Giffords suffered a gun-shot wound to the head five months ago when a crazed man opened fire at a meet-and-greet at a grocery store in her home district of Tuscon, Arizona. Six people were killed and a dozen injured in the shooting.
Since the shooting, Giffords made strides in her recovery, regaining the ability to speak and walk. Her movement is still limited however, and is it unclear if she will be able to resume her duties as Congresswoman. Giffords' husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, said she will continue her therapy in Houston.
