Vered Noam first woman to win Israel Prize for Talmud Scholarship

Tel Aviv University Professor Vered Noam is the first woman to be awarded the Israel Prize for Talmud Scholarship, Education Minister Rafi Peretz announced on Monday. 
Peretz said that Noam was “an inspiration for a whole generation of women who are learning Torah” and added that she was a trail-blazer in her work to “[make] Talmud studies accessible to many groups.”
