Volcanic cloud from Chile cancels flights in New Zealand

Flights in and out of New Zealand were canceled Sunday as a result of a cloud of volcanic smoke emanating from Chile.
Southern Chile's Cordon Caulle volcano erupted last week, disrupting air traffic in Uruguay and Argentina. Since then the cloud of volcanic ash and smoke drifted around Antarctica toward Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand's Civil Aviation Authority expects air traffic disruptions through next week.
