A two-man delegation from the World Trade Organization that specializes in government procurement agreements (GPA) arrived in Israel on Sunday to conduct a seminar on the subject over the next two days. The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor said the seminar forms part of its foreign trade management's efforts to improve the GPAs currently being negotiated at the WTO in Geneva. The GPA will be signed by 37 countries, formulating the requirements for the performance of government company tenders, obligating the signatories to set standards of transparency in carrying out the tenders.
