Price of regulated breads to be cut

The move comes in response to the continued drop in wheat and fuel prices.

Outgoing Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Eli Yishai has signed an order to cut the price of regulated breads by 4.35 percent in response to the continued drop in wheat and fuel prices. The reduction of price-controlled breads will take effect once the finance minister approves and signs the order. Following the price cut, a 750-gram loaf of white bread will cost NIS 4.44 instead of NIS 4.64 and a loaf of challah bread will cost NIS 4.84 instead of NIS 5.07.
