One of the beloved food groups in the Sharon region is expanding across the country and increasing its mileage with a very intriguing opening. Welcome to Mojo San, Ganei Tikva.
The promise: An Asian experience that places noticeable emphasis on what the eyes see even before the food arrives, and while it is on the table, ordering screens that speak at eye level (yes, also the children’s), an accessible family-social outing, including in its prices, and service that promises to be better than what is customary in the genre.
What else? A built-in lifestyle shop with beautiful homeware, stunning merch and worthwhile gifts from Japan and from here alike, including the restaurant’s own cute serving set, bags and hats, a traditional kimono and additional surprises.
What do you eat here? An invested restaurant menu, just fast, aimed at both a quick lunch and a joyful dinner, for a date and for a communal table opening. Whatever you like.
It begins with sharing dishes (NIS 49–69) such as salmon ceviche in pani puri, spicy popcorn based on chicken or tofu, namas and gyoza and a Thai cucumber salad, continues with a quintet of sando sandwiches (NIS 62–65) with crispy chicken, chicken thigh in barbecue marinade, shredded beef stew and a portobello burger and intensifies greatly with “sushi burrito” (NIS 66–72) – Latin-Asian creations loaded with all the good stuff, and a bit more.
Apart from these, wok dishes (NIS 69–99) also star here based on sea bream, salmon, chicken thigh and ground beef, curry and mustard-Szechuan sauce, noodles (NIS 59–62) that range between the Pad Thai classic and “The Green” (egg or rice noodles, coconut milk, Thai pesto and stir-fried vegetables), deep ramen and poke bowls (NIS 69–74) and a joyful, colorful and option-rich roll collection (NIS 55–72).
All of this ends – it must end – with a prominent dessert bar inspired by Tokyo, and home-made temptations of tiramisu, chocolate mousse, tapioca, lemon pie and soft-serve ice cream with toppings.
What do you drink here? Invested mixes that wink at Japanese izakayas based on sake, whiskey and gin, and global classics as well.
