On Tu Bishvat, Ofra terror victims plant a new seed

Shira and Amichai Ish-Ran plant a tree in honor of their baby, Amiad Yisrael, who, after a terrorist attack in Ofra on his parents, was delivered via emergency C-section and then died three days later.They were joined by family members, residents of the community of Ofra and representatives of the organization Israel365 to plant 300 trees in the mountains of Samaria on Friday."A beautiful sapling, prematurely born to my daughter and son-in-law, was brutally murdered and deprived of the opportunity to grow and flourish,” Chaim Silberstein, Shira’s father, told The Jerusalem Post."Although Amiad Yisrael did not merit to become a tall and proud tree in the Nation of Israel, planting a forest in his memory will both help to perpetuate the memory of his short but meaningful life, as well as plant hope."
