Gulf states are facing the consequences of escalating hostilities between the United States, Israel, and Iran after missiles and drones entered or fell on their territory in recent days.

Prior to the war, Iranian spokespeople stated that all US military bases in the region would be targeted. US embassies across the region have issued security alerts to American citizens, urging caution amid heightened tensions.

One killed, two injured on ship in Bahrain

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said on Monday it received a report of an incident in the port of Bahrain where a vessel was struck by two unknown projectiles, causing a fire.

The fire was extinguished, the vessel remained in the port, and the crew were evacuated and were safe, UKMTO added.

The US embassy in Bahrain declared that terrorist groups and those inspired by such organizations are intent on attacking US citizens abroad.

One person was killed, and two were seriously injured on a ship in Salman Industrial City in Bahrain after debris from a missile interception fell on the ship and caused a fire on Monday.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior stated that the fire was brought under control and extinguished following the incident.

Drones shot down over airport in Iraq

Three armed drones were shot down over Erbil Airport in northern Iraq, where US forces are stationed, security sources say.

Dubai resumes operations at Jebel Ali port

Dubai's DP World said on Monday operations at the UAE's Jebel Ali port have resumed, according to a notice seen by Reuters.

US embassy in Jordan issues security alert

The United States Embassy in Jordan issued a security alert on Sunday for its citizens living in or visiting the state, instructing Americans to shelter in place and remain indoors.

The warning follows reports of missiles, drones, or air-to-air missiles in Jordanian airspace.

The US embassy has assured American citizens abroad that it is currently monitoring the situation in the Gulf state and will keep them informed about security measures.

It encouraged citizens to keep up with local media information and monitor flight changes over possible air traffic disruptions.

American citizens may contact the Embassy via emergency numbers and, according to authorities, should remain alert for any unusual activity.

Qatar intercepts attacks targeted at civilian infrastructure 

Qatar intercepted Iranian attacks that targeted civilian infrastructure, including the international airport, the Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson told CNN on Monday, adding that such attacks could not remain unanswered.

Majed Al Ansari also said that Qatar was not engaging with Iran at the moment.

Gulf states condemn attacks launched by the Iranian regime 

The governments of the United States, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates released a joint statement condemning attacks launched by the Iranian regime.

The statement strongly denounced the Islamic Republic of Iran’s indiscriminate and reckless missile and drone attacks against sovereign territories in the region, calling the attacks unjustified. It emphasized that the actions of the Islamic Republic represent a dangerous escalation that violates the sovereignty of multiple countries and threatens regional stability.

The statement additionally reaffirmed that targeting civilians and nations not engaged in hostilities is reckless and destabilizing behavior.

"We stand united in defense of our citizens, sovereignty, and territory, and reaffirm our right to self-defense in the face of these attacks. We remain committed to regional security and commend the effective air and missile defense cooperation that has prevented far greater loss of life and destruction,” the statement declared.
