The flight originated in Herzliya.The Airports Authority said there had been an engine malfunction, forcing the pilot to attempt a landing at the Mahanayim airport. The plane crashed three kilometers prior to reaching its destination.In August, two were killed when an ultra-light plane crashed near Rehovot. The crash was caused by a technical fault.
