Missing IDF soldier's body found near Ben Shemen forest
Dan Shirokov last seen boarding bus in T-A central station en route to Beit Shemesh; Military police begin investigation of events surrounding death.

Shirokov had been missing from his unit since last Monday.Shirokov had last spoken with relatives one week ago and was last seen at the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station, boarding a bus en route to Beit Shemesh. Lying next to the soldier's body was his personal weapon, the IDF spokesperson said. His family had been notified of the discovery by the army, and authorities said his body would be officially identified within the day.Military police began their investigation of the events, and will submit their results to the Army Court for final review.
