Deadly day on Israeli roads as six die in accidents

Van collides with tractor in the Golan, killing two; four die when private car crashes into tourist bus headed toward Dead Sea.

Israeli roads were a deadly place on Friday morning as two separate car accidents took six lives and left several others wounded.
In the Golan, a van carrying workers collided with a tractor near the Arik Bridge in the Beit Tsida junction. Two people were killed and eight were injured. One of the injured was in critical condition.

Magen David Adom Yarden crews along with three helicopters evacuated one person in serious condition, five in moderate condition and two in light condition to Ziv and Poriah Hospitals.
In the south of the country, four people traveling in a private car were killed instantly when their vehicle collided head-on with a tourist bus on Route 90 in the Dead Sea. None of the tourists, who were visiting Israel from Germany, were seriously hurt. The four dead from the private car were all Palestinians, two from Hebron and two from Jenin, Israel Radio reported.
The accident occurred near Kalya Beach, and that intersection remains closed to traffic. Firefighters from the Ma'ale Adumim station responded to the scene and evacuated the bodies.
