Employers do not want to hire reserve soldiers in light of the fact that an employer is forced to absorb about 30% of their gross salary, Dvir Indig, a major in the reserves and chairman of the Tzav 8 Association, told the Knesset's Economics Committee this week.

"The regulations on the subject must be changed," he told the committee, which held a day of recognition for reserve soldiers.

Tzav 8 is an organization that works to improve the conditions of reservists in Israel.
