As Bat-El approached them, the guard stood at attention and Gosland left the formation, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him; she said yes.The police band that was there played “Hava Nagilla” and Knesset Director-General Ronen Plott wished them mazal tov in Knesset Speaker Yuli Edeltstein’s name. Gosland got the rest of the day off to celebrate his engagement, and a different guard took his place.
