When Amona fell in 2017, Netanyahu rode the wave of anger by authorizing a completely new settlement, the first in more than 20 years.
The report immediately set pundits buzzing, with those believing that Netanyahu was simply back peddling his way out of a tricky political situation.
“After a long battle, we see the light at the end of the tunnel," said activist Avichai Boaron, an Amona evacuee.
Residents of the Amona outpost plan to hold an emergency meeting on the matter on Tuesday night.

Stores, schools, and local government offices were closed in Arab municipalities throughout Israel in protest of the demolition of 11 non-permitted structures in Kalansuwa.
