El Zahra Centre in Melbourne announced a Majlis [gathering] in commemoration of Khamenei, saying "We offer our condolences and congratulations to the presence of Imam Mahdi."

The IDF said the opening wave included simultaneous strikes at several locations in Tehran, where seven members of Iran’s top security leadership were gathered.

Although it turns out Khamenei was killed likely in the war's opening moments by around 30 bombs around 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning, the more intense response only came later.

At the tactical level, striking Gulf states is playing with fire. The Persian Gulf is a central artery of the global economy.

The officials also said that the strike at a US Navy base in Bahrain left no injuries, with the Iranian missile only hitting an empty building. 

The region is witnessing expansive military operations by the United States and Israel, including moves that, according to American and Israeli sources, will become clearer as the campaign develops.

Unlike the previous round, the Iranian regime appears to have been better prepared for the current confrontation, and its response capabilities may have improved since the 12-day campaign.

US President Donald Trump expressed his discontent with Iran, adding that "sometimes you have to" use military force.

"The IDF is closely monitoring the situation in Iran and is alert and prepared to defend you," he said in the video statement.
