Borrell is not barred from the country but the Foreign Ministry does not intend to host him for an official visit in light of the article that he published in Project Syndicate last week.
“We are a close observer because Israel is a key partner, and our shared values are based on a democratic and open society and the rule of law,” Borrell said.
While Borrell and Cohen pledged their commitment to further improve EU-Israel ties, there are some areas of disagreement.
The EU’s extreme and illogical fixation seems to represent and echo the long-held personal aversion and hostility to Israel of EU High Representative Josep Borrell.
President Zelensky spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, and reported that the two discussed "all the challenges of winter."
Borrell, who has served in his capacity since December 2019, has been involved in many geopolitical arenas during his tenure.
"While Iran has obligations, it also has rights. The agency should preserve its credibility," charged Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani.
"We, the families of French, Swedish, German, and Austrian citizens, who have been illegally detained by the Iranian regime, are outraged that the European Union seems to be ignoring these crimes."
EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell warned that rejecting the deal would "risk a dangerous nuclear crisis, set against the prospect of increased isolation for Iran and its people."
Borrell told the newspaper it would be logical for the EU to do what the United States did with Afghan central bank assets after the Taliban took over the Asian nation.
