Taliban, Pakistan declare Eid al-Fitr ceasefire in conflict that has killed hundreds

Both parties stated that the ceasefire is in order to celebrate the festival of Eid al-Fitr over the coming days.

Kabul rehab center bombed by Pakistan, death toll rises, families search for survivors

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan has put the death toll at 143 in the bombing of a Kabul drug rehab centre by Pakistan, an official told Reuters on Wednesday.
