Spain checks 200 Italy arrivals as countries clash over Morrocan migrant crisis at Cueta border

Spain's Interior Ministry carried out checks on a total of 199 people on 12 flights from Italy to airports in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Bilbao, Alicante and Valencia, it said late on Saturday.

Spain hopes to transfer migrant minors to mainland within weeks

Youth Minister Rego said the profile of child migrants had changed in the past five years since the last major border rush on Ceuta in 2021, when 8,000 people crossed the border.
