How can things seem so good in Israel while the conversation about Israel sounds so cranky?

Cast in the terms of modern political science, Israel’s nation-state law formally ends the period of nation building in Israel’s political history and inaugurates the period of state building.

Nevertheless, please, read the law. I just reread it – and reject this sky-is-falling language. Democracy worked: The bill is better balanced after being repeatedly rewritten. Equality still reigns.

This protest, which like previous protests against governmental decisions is also being pushed into the spotlight by a majority of the media, is a delusional story.
