He is not the first royal or the most high-ranking royal to stay at the King David, but he will be the first British royal to come on an official visit, paving the way for some of his relatives.
The statement said that the visit is “at the request of Her Majesty’s Government and has been welcomed by the Jordanian, Israeli, and Palestinian authorities.”
The group will tour Jewish and Christian sites and experience the sights, sounds and tastes of the Holy Land.
