40,000 Muslims attend Ramadan prayers on Temple Mount

Over 40,000 Muslims prayed at the Temple Mount on Friday, the first Friday of Ramadan this year, Israel Radio reported.

Police allowed males over the age of 50, and females over 45 to enter the area. Thousands of police and border patrol officers were stationed near the Temple Mount, Old City and east Jerusalem, in order to prevent disturbances.
