450 European dignitaries tour Sderot

450 former European members of parliament and ministers toured Sderot and were exposed to life under the threat of missiles, reported Israel Radio on Friday.

According to the report, they also visited communities in Gush Katif and were scheduled to visit a joint Israel-Jordan agricultural project in the Dead Sea area.

The dignitaries arrived in Israel for a conference of the European Friends of Israel.

Negev and Galilee Development Minister Silvan Shalom stressed the importance of the visit of the European parliamentarians and ministers, saying they want to help Israel's security and economy.
