82-year-old woman seriously injures 2 pedestrians in Haifa

An 82-year-old woman struck two pedestrians with her vehicle in Haifa on Wednesday, critically injuring a man in his eighties and seriously wounding a woman in her forties. The injured were evacuated to Rambam Hospital in the city.

Police believe the woman may have been driving in the opposite direction of traffic. She swerved off the road into a wall after hitting the pedestrians, suffering slight injuries in the process.

She was detained for questioning on the scene.
