Algerian enter Mali to help fight al Qaida groups

Algerian troops crossed the border into Mali to help Bamako fight militant groups affiliated with al Qaida, AFP reported according to officials Tuesday.
Algerian troops were stationed in northern Mali to help the West African country fight terrorism, a high-ranking military official told AFP, without disclosing the number of troops stationed there.
He mentioned that there were at least 15 instructors, including officers.
Bamako and Algiers are part of a joint committee, CEMOC, that was established to fight regional terrorist groups.
