Ambassador Danon slams Palestinian Authority for asking UNSC to visit

"The Palestinian initiative is part of an ongoing effort to present a false narrative to the international community," Israel's ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon said.

The Palestinian delegation to the United Nations tried to initiate a visit by the Security Council to the area on Thursday because of Prime Minister Benjamin's Netanyahu's decision to not renew the mandate for the Temporary International Presence in Hebron foreign observer force.

"The Palestinian initiative is part of an ongoing effort to present a false narrative to the international community," Israel's ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon said. "Israel has hosted dozens of UN ambassadors from around the world in recent years, exposing them to the historical truth the Palestinians refuse to accept, while they instead choose to engage in terrorism and incitement."

"A 19-year-old Israeli was brutally attacked and murdered and the Security Council must act against the PA's incitement campaign and policy of paying salaries to terrorists," Danon continued. "The Security Council must not cooperate with the PA's attempts to deceive the truth."
